As one of the largest resorts in Colorado, Vail buzzes with activity all season long as the quintessential mountain resort town. Big city flair comes packaged in a small, European-style pedestrian village, with endless shops and restaurants located right at the base of the mountain. After the lifts close and the clomping of ski boots clears out, nightlife buzzes with renewed energy and panache (From fur coats to cowboy hats, you’ll see it all). Bars, nightclubs, and restaurants abound, and all of it can be reached by foot or via free shuttle bus.
In the daytime, the infinite reaches of the surrounding peaks provide a multitude of activity for everyone, and skiing/snowboarding are only part of the long “Must Do” list in Vail. Everyone loves Adventure Ridge, an on-snow playground/amusement park that includes a ski biking, tubing, ice skating and more. Slow it down a little with some cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, or give snowmobiling a try. Ladies, rejoice: Vail has some of the best spas in the country. |
